We are going to the Big island to camp for a couple of days and then go see Volcano National Park. Since I will not be adding any posts until Sunday at the soonest enjoy today's sunset from Hanalei Bay....yeah its going to be really hard to go home.

Return to the cave.

Return to turtle cave at dusk. I took Ian and a neighbor man to see if there were any turtles in the cave. I figured if I was a sea turtle, I would come in and sleep in the evening to avoid becoming a meal for a shark. It is sort of exciting to climb down here and wonder if you are going to see turtles....or not.

Coming at the cave at dusk was the right thing to do. There were 11 turtles sleeping on the sand. The funny thing was as the surf surged into the cave it lifted the turtles up and they bounced into each other like balls in a Pachinko machine.
