Free fruit is the sweetest

The papaya tree outside our back door. As we pick the ripe fruit we have to go up higher for the next batch....wonder how far up Ian can reach?

Ian with deliciously free papayas. Papayas are a strange fruit to me, they sort of smell like spoiled milk but they are also sweet..sort of. Not my favorite fruit but I eat them for marital bliss.

Etel made me stop the car by the side of Kuhio highway south of Kapa'a so she could pick the guavas she spied here the day before when we were stuck in traffic.

The final challenge...to get to these banannas when they are ripe. The tree is growing on the side of a steep valley in the back yard. Etel has already devised in her mind a series of ropes and supports to allow her to shimmie down to the fruit.
