Our first attempt to make Sushi and Sashimi

The critical process in making sushi is rice preparation. Here I am fanning the rice as Etel stirs in a rice vinegar and sugar glaze on the rice. I had to fan the rice for 10 minutes. As I got bored with the fanning, I became sloppy and ended up wacking Etel with the large plastic lid.
