Surveyed this fern marshy field for spiders. Did not find raptor but did find some cool jumping spiders (Salticidae) and crab spiders (Philodromidae).

This looks like a typical field, but when you step out there you find yourself walking on ferns and occasionally your legs pushes through the fern mass to hit mud, muck or a stream about 2' below.
