SITE 9.
5:07 PM. We stopped for lunch - we both had a huge bowl of siamen in a very sketchy local restaurant. It was one of those places where you ignore the fact that you can watch them gossip, prepare your noodles, count their tips and do anything else but clean. Food was great though.
After lunch we drove up to Wailua falls just north of Lihue. This is the headwaters to the large Wailua river that flows directly east to the coast. The best part about this waterfall is you can drive right up to it, park the car, hop out, snap the photo and be back on your way all under 90 seconds. We were the ultimate in guerilla tourists.
