Last night I went to Sea Lodge beach, a small spit of a beach, to try my new fishing pole. The large 10'-15' waves crashed on the reef offshore and their huge battered remains smashed on shore ultimately driving me away. As I left, I realized the sunset from this spot is quite spectacular. I returned tonight to photograph it but, of course, it was not the same. Beautiful yes, but not as beautiful as the memory I hold in my mind's eye.

The winds are howling still tonight, 50 mph gusts sound like banshees swirling outside. It was difficult to get the children to fall asleep.
